LA TILLANA, Namaste France, by ARIANE GRAY HUBERT
‘Ivre D’Amour’ by Ariane Gray Hubert at Festival Namaste France, Petit Palais in Paris. Dedicated to Peace and Unity among nations, music, songs and tales by Ariane Gray Hubert with her world music ensemble. « One of my favourite source of inspiration comes with the art of the Tillana from South India. Here is my tribute to a very old composition in sanskrit, Kalinga Nartana Tillana, which is a recreation of Lord Krishna’s mythical battle with Kaliya, the fearsome five-headed snake who boiled the waters of the Yamuna River around them. I originally blended with a new composition of mine, mixing Sanskrit with French together & narrating on stage another tale inspired by a captivating story in a desert… It was great fun to do it, accompanied marvellously by N.Rajaraman, nephew of the legend Ghatam player Vikku Vinayakram, and the audience just went on crazy ! «
